Sad Dog : how to know if your dog is depressed?
Animals experience complex emotions, just like us: joy, sadness, fear … Dogs in particular are known to be always cheerful and playful.
However, the slightest change in their daily life can disturb them and affect their often happy nature (lack of exercise, loss of a family member, arrival of a new animal, move, emotional lack, health problem, poor food…).
So, it is essential to spot the signs of depressed dog or sad dog or in order to remedy them as soon as possible and prevent depression in dogs.
1. The Dog has trouble sleeping
A happy dog sleeps between 8 and 10 hours a day, especially at night.
If your faithful companion often wakes up in the middle of the night or if, on the contrary, it only sleeps during the day, this can be a sign of deep uneasiness. It can be a depressed Dog!
